What personal data we collect

We collect personal data only where necessary to deliver our services, respond to enquiries, and meet legal obligations. The types of data we collect include:

• Identity data — your name, and where provided, your title or salutation
• Contact data — email address, telephone number, and postal address
• Booking data — pickup and drop-off locations, dates, times, passenger numbers, itinerary preferences, and any special requests
• Payment data — payment is processed by Stripe, Inc.; we do not store full card details on our systems
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and access timestamps when you visit our website
• Usage data — pages viewed, actions taken on our website, and time spent on each page
• Marketing data — if you subscribe to any communications, your preferences for receiving them

Why we collect it (lawful basis)

We process your personal data under one or more of the following lawful bases set out in Article 6 GDPR:

• Contract — to deliver the services you have booked
• Legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, improve our services, maintain our website, and protect against fraud
• Legal obligation — to comply with Irish tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements
• Consent — for optional activities such as marketing communications or non-essential cookies, where you have given clear consent

Who we share your data with

We share your personal data only with the processors and partners strictly necessary to deliver our services. These include:

• Stripe, Inc. — payment processor. Subject to Stripe's own Privacy Policy
• Resend (Lumen Developer Network, Inc.) — transactional email delivery
• Supabase Inc. — database hosting for booking records, held in the European Economic Area
• Vercel Inc. — website and API hosting, and — with your consent — privacy-friendly analytics
• Google LLC — Google Places API for address autocomplete
• Twilio Inc. — delivery of the service text messages about your booking
• Our chauffeur-guides and operational staff — to deliver the service you have booked
• Legal, accounting, and regulatory bodies — where required by Irish law

We do not sell your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.

Text messages (SMS)

When you give us a mobile number for a booking, we use it to send service text messages about that booking: a message when your chauffeur is on the way, with a link to a live tracking page, and a message when your chauffeur has arrived. We send up to 2 messages for each journey. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not send marketing text messages. We do not sell, rent or share mobile numbers or text message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

International transfers

Some of our processors (Stripe, Google) may transfer your data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do so, such transfers are protected by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or by other safeguards approved under Article 46 GDPR. You may request details of these safeguards by writing to us.

How long we keep your data

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:

• Booking records — retained for seven years to meet Irish tax and accounting requirements
• Enquiry correspondence — retained for two years from the date of last contact
• Website analytics — retained for up to thirteen months
• Marketing subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion

All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, payment details are tokenised by Stripe and never touch our servers, and access to booking records is restricted to authorised personnel. While no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, we follow industry standards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
